SIMS Ltd has a commitment to the health, safety and wellbeing of its employees and contractors. We also have a duty to comply with legislative requirements. The company therefore requires its employees to ensure that their work performance is not impaired by the consumption of alcohol or the taking of drugs. Control and Monitoring of working Hours Policy

Purpose

The purpose of this procedure is to prevent SIMS staff from working on safety critical signalling, control or communications systems when they have become insufficiently alert due to excessive hours of work.

This procedure: -

  1. Lays down rules limiting the total hours that staff may work on Safety critical signalling, control and communications assets, and
  2. Sets out arrangements by which working hours, including overtime will be monitored.
